LSF Design's FPGA team brings a broad FPGA development expertise to projects in areas including High Performance interfaces like PCIe, DDR3, Giga-bit SERDES, Embedded Systems, SOC, TDM and Scientific applications. We are a Certified Design Partner with Xilinx and a Design Services Network partner with Altera - we are knowledgeable with the unique features of these technologies and can use our FPGA experience to design a custom FPGA solution for you.

Design Methodology

At LSF Design we start with the customer requirements. We often make recomendations for the RTL language, toolset and FPGA vendor but are equally adept at fitting into any established methodology. We have experience providing RTL design services in Verilog or VHDL and DV test environment creation using VHDL, Verilog, System verilog, C and Python.

In-house, we employ our own RTL design methodology. In this flow we place a large emphasis on design verification and RTL simulation. Our philosophy is to simulate to the point where we know that when we get into the lab, an FPGA design will work as expected. We use GIT on a secure off-site server for source code revision control as well as an issue/bug tracking system. We are always looking to improve the hardware design process.
